An MRE Tradition

Since 2003, we are proud of our 20+ year history with Bike MS and the impact it has had on the lives of thousands of people with MS. Team MRE has raised more than $1.7 million for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and was inducted into the National MS Society’s Circle of Distinction in 2017. We look forward to riding every year with our new and old friends.

Riding Together

Team MRE’s dedication to combating MS is a personal passion. Co-founder and Vice President, Shane Merz, whose mother was diagnosed in 1986 sparked a lifelong commitment to the cause. His dedication in fundraising for educational efforts to help people understand the devastation that MS can have on those affected. He was recognized for raising more than $130,000 in 2019 and ranked #1 in The 2020 Club 300.

This passion extends to Team MRE, a tradition born in 2003. Since then, we have collectively raised more than $1.7 million for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Recognized with the Society’s Circle of Distinction, our team continues to commit to supporting the cause.

Each pedal stroke fuels the fight against MS, and with each advancement in research and treatment. The journey continues, we continue to ride for finding a cure, with every mile conquered, it will be a brighter future for those affected by this disease and Team MRE is here to support.

Ride with Team MRE

My favorite part of the MS150 weekend was the comradery. We had riders at a bunch of different levels, a few who had never met each other. But every single morning at the starting line, it was like they had been riding together for years! Lifting each other up, talking strategy for headwinds and making sure everyone was stocked with water and snacks for mid ride energy! It was inspiring to see the group come together to support a great cause.

As a first time participant in the MS150 event, it was really rewarding to be a part of such a large effort for a great cause. MRE makes a big commitment to our riders and it shows throughout the weekend. I plan to be on the crew again next year and support a fun tradition that makes MRE a great place to work
