MRE Consulting is looking for dynamic and experienced Salesforce Solution Sales Account Manager with a proven track record of success to join the team. You are passionate about driving sales growth through understanding our customer’s business objectives or challenges and explaining how the Salesforce platform can deliver personalized solutions to meet their needs. You would be responsible for acquiring new clients, managing existing account relationships, overseeing project delivery and supporting our delivery teams. The ideal candidate is immersed in the Salesforce ecosystem, with strong leadership and communication skills and a background in consulting/professional services.

What does a Salesforce Solution Sales Account Manager do?
Business Development
  • Cultivate New Opportunities: Prospect and cultivate new business opportunities through lead generation, qualification, and advancing prospects through the sales pipeline.
  • Networking: Represent MRE Consulting at industry events, conferences, and local networking opportunities in Houston to promote our services, build brand awareness, and generate leads to expand client base.
  • Collaborative Sales: Collaborate with the Salesforce Sales and Leadership team to promote deals through the sales process, from initial prospecting to closing deals, while developing and nurturing executive relationships.
  • Partner Alliance: Collaborate with the Salesforce Partner ecosystem to create solutions and proposals that meet requirements and delight clients.
  • Sales Targets: Collectively meet or exceed annual sales targets for Salesforce Division’s professional services. Prepare and deliver sales forecasts, reports, and presentations to senior management, providing insights into sales performance and market trends.
Thought Leadership & Consultative Sales
  • Thought Leadership: Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities. Develop market points of view (POVs) and share insights which establish your thought leadership in a relevant area.
  • Industry Strategy: Contribute to the development of industry strategies and business plans for the energy & utilities and related industries.
  • Solution Selling: Listen to the customer, understand their business concerns, and design business solutions which address their concerns and help them achieve their business goals. Partner with technical subject matter experts to validate solutions and communicate confidently in our ability to deliver.
  • Salesforce Expertise: Leverage a deep understanding of Salesforce solutions to develop strategic plans and customized solutions that address client-specific challenges, particularly in industries like energy and utilities.
Account Management
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as the primary contact for their needs and concerns, ensuring long-term success.
  • Account Management & Growth: Cultivate account relationships. Develop and execute account plans in collaboration with project teams to grow existing accounts. We believe in solutions which support our clients’ long-term success.
  • Project Oversight: Provide governance and oversight across all sold engagements for an owned account, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction. This may be as the Account Manager or in a billable role, such as a project manager, engagement lead or subject matter expert.
  • People Management: Serve as the first point of contact for any individual onboarding to the account and communicate their role and responsibilities. We are in the business of people – it is critical to ensure that they are set-up for success. Manage any account escalations.
Who you are and what you’ve accomplished:
  • Demonstrated success in partnering with clients to understand their organizational needs and recommend value-added solutions on the Salesforce platform.
  • Strong executive presence with experience in building relationships and/or selling to senior C-suite executives and business decision-makers.
  • Ability to craft a solution and storyboard a presentation. Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills required.
  • Experience leading sales pursuits from identification to close, with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to collaborate with Sales and Technical/Functional colleagues on Sales pursuits.
  • Outstanding relationship-building skills with excellent listening, and comfort working with cross-functional teams and virtual teams.
  • Experience in solution sales related to the oil & gas, energy, and/or healthcare industries, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • 3-5 years of experience in selling Salesforce ecosystem solutions and/or consulting services.
  • Over 8 years of experience in professional or consulting services sales.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field is required; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Consulting experience is preferred.
  • Must reside in a commutable distance to the Greater Houston, Texas area. Candidates in Dallas Fort Worth, Austin, or San Antonio will also be considered.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for meetings and conferences.
