Main Responsibilities
- Develop new and enhance existing SSIS jobs.
- Develop new and enhance existing SSRS reports, Power BI reports.
- Develop new and enhance existing SSAS multi-dimensional and Tabular cube.
- Assist with monitoring production jobs and communicating with the IT team and user community on job status and issue resolution.
- Respond to user questions and data requests related to BI solutions.
- Work with the user community to elicit requirements and work with team members to conceptualize complete BI solutions. Complete BI solutions include ETL (SSIS), data warehouse modeling and development, Tabular and multi-dimensional cube development and presentation layer development (Excel data connections, Power BI or SSRS or Tableau).
- Develop, system test and coordinate user acceptance testing of assigned work packages.
- Collaborate with team members on their assigned work package to ensure the implementation adheres to the overall conceptual design.
- Document new and existing jobs and BI solutions and cross train team members on new solutions.
- Coordinate with team members other IT groups to migrate changes into production.
- Support existing SSIS SSAS jobs in a dynamic fast paced environment supporting energy trading and power plant analytics.
- Develop an understanding of the criticality of the job data flows and downstream dependencies and keep the team and user community appraised of any issues.
- Informs stakeholders of upcoming changes and coordinates change management activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience developing and architecting SSIS packages.
- Strong T-SQL, and SSIS job and package development skills.
- Extensive experience and knowledge loading data various data sources.
- Strong SQL coding experience with performance optimization experience for data queries.
- Experience using SSIS script tasks with C#.
- Experience with monitoring, tuning, analyzing SSAS MDX queries.
- Good experience with Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS)/Power BI for creating and publishing reports. Experience with Tableau is a plus but not required.
- Experience working with SSAS creating cubes, data source views, named queries, dimensions and deploying of analysis services projects.
- Experience in writing MDX queries while creating and customizing cubes using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
- Flexible, enthusiastic and project oriented team player with good written, verbal communication skills.
- Good knowledge in Data warehousing architecture and design.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in fast paced, rapidly changing and complex environment.
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills that result in simplified and standardized solutions to achieve the business objectives.

Education
- Bachelors or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Services, Azure Synapse, DataBricks, Azure Data Factory, Fabric.
- Power Industry experience and/or experience with accounting systems (General Ledger, Procurement).
