Senior Developer – ETRM/Trading
Houston, TX (Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite, Tuesday–Thursday)
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Developer to support the implementation and integration of a new Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) tool. This role involves working closely with Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office stakeholders to develop and deliver robust solutions, interfaces, and tools. The position offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a cross-functional team and contribute to building high-quality, scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams to design, implement, and document solutions for ETRM systems
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into valuable solutions
- Develop and maintain high-quality applications, dashboards, reports, APIs, and microservices
- Work in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning and delivering on stories
- Utilize cloud platforms (Azure and AWS) to support transactional processes
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience in application development and integration
- Proficiency in C#/.NET and Java; ability to learn additional languages is a plus
- Knowledge of ISO markets and/or trading is preferred
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with Azure and AWS cloud services
- Strong understanding of energy trading operations and market protocols (ERCOT/CAISO knowledge is a bonus)
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
