MRE Consulting is seeking a Network Lifecycle Consultant to support ongoing equipment replacement and firmware upgrade initiatives across multiple business sites. The ideal resource will bring hands-on experience with Fortinet, Aruba, and Cisco environments, with the ability to ensure smooth migrations and restore full network services post-cutover.
Your Role:
- Lead transition of legacy Cisco switches to Aruba platforms across distributed sites.
- Implement and upgrade Aruba wireless controllers (both physical upgrade of HW and firmware upgrades) to enhance site connectivity and reliability.
- Implement and upgrade Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls (both physical upgrade of HW and firmware upgrades) to enhance site connectivity, security, and reliability.
- Support daily operations before, during, and after lifecycle events to ensure minimal disruption.
- Act as the escalation point for network issues throughout the replacement process.
- Document network configurations and design changes comprehensively (pre- and post-upgrade).
Your Strengths:
- Proven experience with Fortinet firewalls, Aruba networking, and Cisco to Aruba migrations.
- Strong experience in automation of firmware upgrades and data collection from SolarWinds.
- Strong troubleshooting and network design skills in enterprise environments.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites and coordinate with local IT and vendors.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
