Head of IT

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Lead North America’s IT team
  • Business partner to the North American businesses
  • Manage the IT security management for North America
  • Assist with Facility management of all North America’s offices (Houston, Chicago, Calgary)
  • Infrastructure management including cloud, data centers and local data rooms.
  • Manage all devises, patch and security management
  • Participate with other departments on annual projects for the North American business
  • Manage real time trading desk IT systems
  • Vendor management and communication
  • Resource management including mentoring, development and recruitment of staff
  • Lead the change and transformation within the team and establish measurable individual and team objectives that are aligned with quality objectives, IT strategy and goals
  • Coordinate with other departments on Quality Assurance on systems for the business
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors when necessary
  • Work with the Global ETRM head to deliver the Endur ETRM program for North America
  • Follow Client’s governance and reporting processes
  • Plan and manage North America’s IT budgets
  • Need to be a leader and a doer

 

Essential Work Experience Requirements:

 

  • 5 plus year Trading IT experience
  • 5 plus years in a senior leadership role dealing with senior stakeholders
  • 10 plus years of IT experience
  • Significant experience leading projects and teams
  • Fresh approach and positive can-do attitude
  • Experience in vendor management

Desirable:

  • Trading IT support experience desirable
  • Facility management experience
  • Infrastructure experience
  • Experience in real time trading and dispatch systems
  • Energy Trading Risk Management systems experience
  • Endur ETRM system functional and technical experience desired

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree level qualification or equivalent in business, technical or engineering subject
